The Manasquan Environmental Commission is comprised of the following members appointed by Mayor George Dempsey:

Susan Thompson
Joseph Lucas, Borough Councilman continues as the Council Focal Point for the Environmental Commission. We welcome Joe's participation and leadership.
During the Environmental Commission Reorganization meeting held on January 6, 2010 in the Manasquan Town Hall the meeting schedule for calendar year 2010 was amended as follows:
All meetings will be held in the large conference room at town hall on the first Wednesday of every other month. Meetings will start promptly at 7:00 PM. The public is welcome to attend these meetings and to participate in the work of the commission as we seek to improve the environment in Manasquan.
The meeting schedule for 2010 is:
January 6 -> March 3 -> May 5 -> July 7 -> September 1 -> November 3
The Environmental Commission is organized to address multiple high priority initiatives which are all aimed at improving the environment and quality of life in Manasquan. Commissioner have each been designated to handle the major priorities for 2010 which have been identified to date. The assignments are:
Michael Sinneck - Commission Chairperson and Communications/Outreach
Michael Mangan - Planning Board Liaison, Green Team Focal Point and Vice Chairperson
Carole Hart - Dune Maintenance, Funding Factory and Beach Sweeps
Lisa Place - Calendar Planning and Event Scheduling
Jane Donovan - Town Clean Up, Paper Shredding and Composting
Sue Thompson - Recycling
Rick Miller - Recycling and Beach Sweep
Each Commissioner identified above will be the focal point for all activities related to their assigned areas of responsibility. This includes developing the plans and objectives for each initiative, arranging resources to help accomplish the goals and managing the project to successful completion.
